MISS JO AND JEFF ARE CELEBRATING THEIR FIFTH THANKSGIVING IN SAN FRANCISCO and are excited about cooking a big dinner tomorrow.
Today they bought a big, fresh organic oven-stuffer roaster from the poultry butcher in the back of Mission Food, 22nd and Mission streets.
On the way home, while crossing Cesar Chavez Street on Mission, this mural seemed to give its approval.

I just heard that two turkeys’ demise
Was avoided, to their great surprise.
The big turkey in power,
In the eleventh hour,
Gave them pardon, along with the pies.
