THURSDAY NIGHT’S PARTY @ THE FRANKEE UNO SALON & GALLERY, 1221 Divisadero, has been added to Miss Jo’s list of top Bay Area jazz and blues happenings.
The occasion was the quarterly Divisadero Art Walk among the neighborhood’s galleries, boutiques and cafes. Frankee made a great rum punch and Liz hired the band, SF’s own Bohemian Knuckleboogie.
Jeff’s keyboard fit perfectly under
shelves of hair products, while band leader Mike Pitre found a spot in front of the door to play his pocket trumpet and guitar. He was flanked in each window by Garry Williams on drums and Roger Tuan on bass, next to the massage chair. The acoustics were great.
It was one of those light and friendly parties where many people didn’t know each other. The music got everyone rolling. The windows fogged up. There was dancing and merrymaking.

Did they get a shampoo and blow dry, too? Love these Superior Snaps…and I can just see having a dance break in the salon. Priceless!
What a fun event that looked like. I automatically love any store with a pet.
