AT FIRST, MISS JO THOUGHT HER SUBDUED MOOD CAME FROM THE EIGHT CONSECUTIVE DAYS OF RAIN forecast for San Francisco. Then the TV piped up with reports of the worsening situation in earthquake-devastated Haiti.
Thankfully, as a counterweight to feeling useless, Miss Jo learned of Bay Area bake sales being organized to raise money for relief efforts.

I’ve been in a somber mood the last week, too. Things seem to be getting worse in Haiti, instead of better. I’m sending positive vibes their way…
what a great idea! Wish I was local because I’d whip up a coupla dozen somethings and bring them over. There are many ways to donate though. Red cross, March of Dimes are raising awareness and funds and the one that I think is most brilliantly easy is donation via a cell phone text – text “haiti” to 20222 to make 10-dollar donations…
