PART OF THE BASS LINE IN FOG CITY’S SOUNDTRACK IS THE SLAP OF SKATEBOARD WHEELS on pavement, followed by a light scraping-on-cement noise of increasing speed that’s interrupted by bumping over seams in the street or sidewalk.
Miss Jo snapped this skater heading down Masonic toward the Haight who had just stocked up @ Trader Joe’s.

Thought of your post when I saw this picture.

I think you will like this fellow’s work.
I saw a girl skateboarding the other day…almost unheard of! Too hot to skate here at the beach. Surfers are more en vogue. It’s still so funny to me to scan your Superior Snaps and see the folks all bundled up. We’re taking clothes off here, where it’s 97+ in the shade!
I don’t understand how one can balance all those groceries and skate on those steep hills. I can barely walk with my bags from Giant…
The Zodys just walked back from Safeway on Jackson, but no skateboard for us. Just two bags of groceries, but the bags are reusable, not the store brand so you wouldn’t know from where we were coming. Tomorrow we’re taking the little cart that my school buddies gave me and heading to Whole Foods on Harrison.
